Quick Facts

The revised project is a compromise from the original plan and creates a new Jr. High/High School facility and gym.

The overall size of the new facility has been reduced by 6035 sq/ft without reducing any of the educational space!

The new plan addresses all security issues at both facilities and allows room for future expansion.

The cost of the bond ask has been reduced by $2.25 Million.

The Vo-Ag space was reduced by 705 sq/ft.

The gym was reduced in seating capacity and visitor locker rooms were removed.

The revised project is estimated to cost $17.50/month for a $100,000 taxable property value. (Not appraised value).

The bond will be a 30 year term.

The project has been the result of collaboration among a “facility committee” (which includes teachers, school staff, school board members, and parents) as well as the general public through community wide meetings, and the school board as a whole.

The School Board voted UNANIMOUSLY to run the bond again!   Thank you to Trustees Kevin Hoffman, Amber Tilzey, Breann Streck, Lindsay Witt, and Jonathan Alegria for your unwavering support for these School Bonds.

COMMUNITY MEMBERS HAVE OVERWHELMINGLY DIRECTED THE PROJECT to be a Jr High/High School facility. The meaningful discussions have taken into consideration the current and future needs of the students and teachers, overall cost, impact to taxpayers, and previous bond attempts.  A recurring theme has been, “Let’s do this right so we will not be asked again!”

This will be a long term solution (based on current growth and educational trends).

We all know the longer we wait, the more expensive it will become.
